Burak Akartaş

Burak Akartaş is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the shipping and construction industries. Serving as President of PACIFIC SHIPPING GROUP since June 1999, Akartaş also holds the presidency at Akartas Investment Holding and Ritrakons İnşaat since March 2015. Additionally, Akartaş contributes as a member of the Board of Directors for both the IMEAK Turkish Chamber Of Shipping and the Turkish Shipowners’ Association starting in April 2018, and serves as a member of the Turkish Maritime Council since January 2019. Previously, Akartaş was a member of the Board of Directors for the Koster Armatörleri ve İşletmecileri Derneği until May 2023. Educational qualifications include a degree in Civil Engineering from Kocaeli University and a background in Geology/Geophysics from Istanbul Technical University.
