Baris Sayil

Baris Sayil began their work experience in 2020 as a Machine Learning Intern at Worldline Global. In this role, they integrated conversational history into the Dialogue Agent, KATE, and implemented training, evaluation, and modeling of BERT using Docker, PyTorch, and HuggingFace's Transformers. Baris also designed extensions of BERT with novel embeddings and multiple models.

In 2021, Baris joined Inria as a Machine Learning Engineer. Baris worked on the team Chroma, where they added deep and tabular reinforcement learning functionalities to a new C++ framework in development. Baris extensively used Git to collaborate with other team members. Baris achieved optimal learning with Multi-agent MDPs and Multi-agent Partially Observable MDPs using PyTorch in C++. Additionally, they worked on achieving optimal learning with Decentralized Partially Observable MDPs under Hierarchical Information Sharing.

Most recently, Baris joined Padoa in 2022 as a Full Stack Developer. Further details about their role at Padoa are not provided.

Baris Sayil earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Telecommunications and Computer Engineering from INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon from 2016 to 2021. Before that, they obtained a High School Diploma from Üsküdar Amerikan Lisesi / Üsküdar American Academy between 2011 and 2016.
