Mark Champion

Mark Champion is an experienced sports broadcaster with a career spanning over three decades. At Westwood One/CBS Radio since January 1991, Champion serves as a play-by-play announcer for NFL football, NCAA basketball, and PGA golf. Additionally, Champion has been the radio play-by-play voice for the Detroit Pistons and works as the President of M P Champion, Inc. since 1990. From June 1989 to March 2005, Champion was the play-by-play voice of the Detroit Lions on WXYT-AM. Champion holds a degree from Ball State University, where studies were completed from 1968 to 1972.
