Orson Sproule

Orson Sproule is a dedicated musician and educator currently serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Jazz Performance at the University of Iowa since August 2023. In addition, Orson works as a Studio Assistant at The Palace Theater, involved in song production and audio mixing. Previously, Orson held the position of Academic Department Coordinator for Music and Theater at Colgate University while co-founding the band Bird Alert, contributing as a drummer and performer. Experience includes roles as an Intramural Sports Coordinator and Assistant Drummer for dance classes at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, alongside a summer camp counselor position with the Cazenovia Youth Recreation Program. Orson holds a Master of Business Administration in Music Business from Berklee College of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, complemented by a K-12 Music Teaching Certification.
