Hermes Sanctorum

Hermes Sanctorum has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Paleo, a company focused on researching and developing functional ingredients for plant-based meat alternatives. Hermes specializes in precision fermentation to produce bio-identical and GMO-free meat and fish proteins. Prior to this, Hermes worked as a Consultant in animal welfare and technology at Hugin & Munin. Hermes also served as a Member of Flemish Parliament and Senator in Belgium at Vlaams Parlement for a decade. Hermes started their career as a Scientific Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and later served as an Alderman at Gemeente Overijse.

Hermes Sanctorum began their education at Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 1999 and completed their Master of Engineering degree in Bio-Engineering in Environmental and Food Chemistry in 2004. Hermes then pursued further studies at the same institution and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry in 2009.
