Carolyn Bertozzi is a world-renowned chemist and cell biologist. Carolyn is currently a co-founder and scientific advisor at Palleon Pharmaceuticals. Prior to this, they were a professor of chemistry and molecular and cell biology at UC Berkeley for 19 years. Carolyn's research focuses on the sugars that cover the surface of cells, which play important roles in many biological processes. Carolyn has made numerous groundbreaking discoveries in this field, and their work has been widely recognized. Carolyn received their Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in 1993 and did postdoctoral research at UCSF before joining the faculty at UC Berkeley.
Carolyn Bertozzi received a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Harvard University.
