Brett Shear

Brett Shear is a seasoned professional in the cryptocurrency and fintech industries, currently serving as the Managing Partner of PTC Crypto at Palm Tree Crew Investments since March 2021, focusing on consumer crypto investments. Prior to this role, Brett co-founded and served as COO at Fleek from September 2018 to December 2020, where Brett contributed to developing a modern web platform for IPFS. Between May 2017 and September 2018, Brett was part of the founding team at Balanc3, a financial management platform for cryptocurrencies within ConsenSys, the largest blockchain venture production studio. Additionally, from September 2016 to September 2017, Brett co-founded and led the Fordham FinTech Network, fostering a collaborative fintech environment at Fordham University. Brett holds a Master of Taxation from Fordham Gabelli School of Business and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Florida State University.
