Alonso Salas Ureña has a diverse and extensive work experience. Alonso is currently working as the Regional Senior Planning and Media Director at PALM ERA since August 2022. Before that, they founded and served as the Managing Director - CEO of Lateral Thinking Media, a regional communication agency in Central America from November 2011. In this role, they oversaw the development of communication strategies, creative and graphic designs, social media management, and media placement for clients. Prior to that, Alonso held the position of Regional Representative and Director of Digital Media at BEA Digital S.A. from June 2010 to May 2013, where they led the operations and provided efficient strategies and tactics for advertisers to achieve their digital objectives.
Their earlier experience includes working as an Executive of Media at Universal McCann from January 2005 to May 2010, where they developed strategic media planning for various brands and negotiated advertising placements. Additionally, Alonso worked as an Assistant of Media at Starcom MediaVest Group from June 2004 to December 2004, assisting in media buying and control activities.

Alonso Salas Ureña completed their Licentiate degree in Advertising from the Universidad Internacional de las Américas between the years 2002 and 2005. Later, they pursued further education by attending the IE Business School where they obtained a Master's degree in Marketing, specializing in Digital Marketing with a focus on Captation, Conversion, and Web Analytics. This educational journey took place from 2013 to 2014.
