Sherry Smithmyer

Sherry Smithmyer has had a diverse range of work experiences in the field of human resources. Sherry currently holds the position of Senior Vice President Human Resources at PAM Health, a role they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as Vice President Human Resources at PAM Health from December 2017 to May 2022, and as Corporate Director of Human Resources from November 2015 to December 2017.

Before joining PAM Health, Sherry worked at Celerity from September 2009 to November 2015. During their time at Celerity, they held the positions of Resource Manager from July 2012 to November 2015, and Human Resources Representative from September 2009 to July 2012.

Sherry's earlier work experience includes working as an Administrative Assistant at the Diocese of Austin in 1997-1998, and as the Director at The Honor Roll School from June 1994 to April 1997.

Sherry Smithmyer, MHRM, PHR, SHRM-CP, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University in the years 1990 to 1994. In 2012, they earned a Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and a Human Resources Management Certification from Villanova University. In 2015, they obtained the SHRM-CP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Scranton, with an expected completion date between 2020 and 2022. Sherry has also obtained a Professional Administrator credential from the Texas Licensed Child Care Association in 1994 and anticipates receiving a PAM Health Honor to Lead certificate from PAM Health in 2024.
