Paul James

Paul James is an accomplished leader in research and development with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as Head of European R&D and Managing Director of Panasonic R&D Center Germany since July 2014, Paul is responsible for innovation management and new product development across Europe, focusing on strategic market analysis and actionable initiatives. Prior roles include establishing the European R&D Strategy Office at Panasonic Europe, where Paul led the development of multi-year strategy roadmaps and B2B2C product families, and various leadership positions at Nokia Research Centre USA, where Paul was instrumental in launching the R&D Lab in Silicon Valley, as well as overseeing performance engineering and 3G network development projects. Additional experience includes work as a research engineer at Sony and Solinet GmbH. Paul holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Birmingham and a B.Sc. in Computer Science with First Class Honors from Oxford Brookes University.
