Hande Alp

Hande Alp has a strong background in data science and has held various roles throughout their career. Hande started their career at Vakıfbank in 2007 as an Operational Projects Assistant Manager. In this role, they implemented machine learning models and conducted cost-benefit analysis for operational projects. Hande also created process planning projects to enhance the bank's operational processes.

In 2019, Hande joined Türkiye Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri as a Data Scientist and later became a Senior Data Scientist. Their responsibilities included transitioning the Inspection Directorate to a data-driven model, creating and managing fraud alarm systems, and analyzing data to determine process flow defects. Hande also redesigned business processes and communicated improvements to relevant departments.

Currently, Hande is working as a Senior Data Scientist at PaneraTech, Inc. where they apply their expertise in data analysis and machine learning algorithms.

Overall, Hande Alp has significant experience in driving data-driven changes, implementing fraud detection systems, and enhancing operational processes through data analysis and machine learning techniques.

Hande Alp pursued their education in various institutions and fields of study. Hande obtained a Master of Science degree in Applied Data Science from TED University, where they studied from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bilkent University from 2000 to 2002. Later, they graduated from Bilkent University in 2005, having studied Business and Management at the Faculty of Business Administration.

In addition to their formal education, Hande Alp has attained several certifications to further enhance their knowledge and skills. Hande completed the "Convolutional Neural Networks in TensorFlow," "Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning," and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" courses from Coursera in December 2020 and May 2019 respectively. Hande also obtained the "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" certification from Coursera in May 2019. Additionally, Hande Alp obtained advanced SQL certification from HackerRank in May 2022.
