Omer Tirosh has had a varied career in the technology and biomedical fields. Omer began their career as a Design Verification Engineer at Apple in 2015. In 2016, they moved on to become a Backend Developer at Taboola. In 2019, Omer began working as a Bioinformatics Research Student at Tel Aviv University's Stern Lab, where they studied the evolution of RNA viruses and conducted genomic analysis of clinical, high-depth NGS data. Their main projects included drug failure and infection by multiple viruses in HIV patients, using long-read sequencing data for deciphering evolutionary dynamics of intra-host viral populations. In 2021, Omer began working as a Researcher at Pangea Biomed.
Omer Tirosh completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics & Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev between 2012 and 2016. Omer then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computational Biology from Tel Aviv University, which they completed in 2021.
