Luca Filigheddu has had a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Luca started their career as a researcher at the University of Cagliari in 1999. Luca then moved on to work at Abbeynet S.p.A. where they held various roles including CEO and CTO, managing teams and working on projects for enterprise customers in the IT and Telecom/VoIP field. After their time at Abbeynet, Luca co-founded and served as CEO of Twimbow, a social media browser/dashboard for Twitter. Luca successfully grew the company and managed all aspects of the business. Luca then joined BlackBerry where they held positions such as BlackBerry Developer Evangelist and Manager of the Global Developer Ecosystem, responsible for engaging developers and increasing app publication. In 2015, Luca became the President and CEO of Paperlit, a tech company focused on developing software products for publishers and brands using Artificial Intelligence. Luca also became a partner at Datrix | AI applications in 2019. Throughout their career, Luca has also served on advisory boards, including the SIIA in Europe and SwizzyLab. Additionally, Luca has been involved in the tech community as an editor for TechGenial.com, providing daily updates on technology, mobile apps, and social media.
Luca Filigheddu completed their Master Degree in Electronic Engineering at Università degli Studi di Cagliari from 1993 to 1999. Prior to that, they attained their Diploma in Maths from Liceo Scientifico L.B. Alberti between 1988 and 1993. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a BlackBerry Certified Builder for Native from BlackBerry in June 2013.
