Sharon Hoover

Sharon Hoover has a diverse range of work experiences in the technology and cybersecurity field. Sharon has held various roles in different organizations, demonstrating their expertise and ability to adapt to different environments. Sharon has worked as a Chief Data Protection Officer and Director at PAR Government, where they were responsible for assessing risk, designing controls, and establishing data management programs. Sharon also served as the Chief Cyber Strategist at Preferred Systems Solutions, where they communicated cyber-related business cases and enhanced government cyber missions. Prior to that, they worked as a Principle Engineer at Tetra Concepts LLC and held the position of Systems Architect, Engineer, and Subject Matter Expert at Scitor Corporation. Sharon's extensive career also includes experience at the National Security Agency, where they worked as a Systems Engineer and Lead Architect, providing oversight to the development of products and contributing to the modernization of mission infrastructure.

Sharon Hoover holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science & Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, which they obtained in 2001. Sharon also has a Technical Certificate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Capital Institute of Technology. In terms of additional certifications, Sharon has obtained the CIPP/G certification from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in September 2018. Sharon also holds certifications in Communications Access to Power, INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional, Lean Sigma Six Green Belt, and Self-Expression and Leadership from various institutions.
