Julia Bowers

Julia Bowers is a Research Associate at FogPharma since June 2022, demonstrating expertise in chemical research and synthesis. Previously, as a Chemistry Honors Thesis Candidate at Wellesley College, Julia designed analogues of coumarin derivatives to study their effects against pancreatic cancer cells, developed multi-step syntheses, and conducted various analytical techniques for product characterization. Julia's background also includes a role as a Computational Biology Researcher in the UCLA Bruin-in-Genomics Summer Research Program, where Natural Language Processing was utilized to analyze psychiatric health records. Additionally, Julia served as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for Organic Chemistry at Wellesley College and held internships as a Data Engineer at Q2 and a Research Assistant in the Wellesley College Department of Chemistry, enhancing both teaching and research skills. Julia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Chemistry from Wellesley College.
