Markus Haeberlein

Markus Haeberlein currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Discovery Science at Parabilis Medicines, a position held since March 2024. Previously, Markus spent nearly nine years at Alkermes, where roles included Senior Vice President and Head of Research, overseeing research activities in Neuroscience and Oncology. Prior to Alkermes, Markus held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer at Proteostasis Therapeutics, focusing on diseases related to protein misfolding and degradation. An extensive career at AstraZeneca included leadership roles in medicinal chemistry and the global chemistry network. Markus co-founded EcoBalance AB in 1996, and holds a PhD and MSc in Physical Chemistry and related fields from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
