Dustin Dannenhauer has a diverse work experience in the field of research and technology. Dustin currently works as a Research Scientist at Parallax Advanced Research since July 2020. Prior to this, they served as a Scientist, Artificial Intelligence at Navatek, Ltd. from April 2019 to July 2020.
Dustin also gained valuable experience during their tenure as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory from July 2017 to March 2019. Here, they focused on investigating areas of robust autonomous agents, explainable artificial intelligence, and rebel agents. Dustin also mentored two PhD students on rebel agents and online learning of action models.
Before their postdoctoral role, Dustin worked as a PHD Candidate at Lehigh University from August 2012 to May 2017, where they pursued their research and academic interests. Dustin also briefly worked as a Student Researcher at Naval Research Laboratory in July 2012.
Additionally, Dustin had an internship experience as a Software Engineer Intern at Cerner Corporation in May 2010. Prior to this, they served as an Undergraduate Instructor for CSCI-C211: Introduction to Computer Science at Indiana University Bloomington from August 2009 to May 2010, earning the prestigious Undergraduate Instructor of the Year award based on student nominations.
Dustin Dannenhauer completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from Indiana University Bloomington from 2008 to 2012. Dustin then pursued further studies and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from Lehigh University, completing their doctoral program from 2012 to 2017.
