Brian Christner

Brian Christner is a highly experienced financial professional, currently serving as a Trader at Parallax Volatility Advisers, LP since April 2021. Prior to this role, Brian held various trading positions at Citigroup Derivatives Markets Inc. from 2012 to 2021, specializing in equity and index options, including systematic trading. Brian's foundational experience includes a role as Student Director at the LSBE Financial Markets Program, where responsibilities included program management and investment analysis, as well as serving as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in mathematics and statistics. Brian's early career included an actuarial internship at Securian Financial Group and tutoring at the Hennepin County Library. Brian earned a Master’s degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, and Finance from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
