Eric R. Picone, MPA, AEM has a strong background in public safety and emergency response. Eric began their career in 2004 as a firefighter with the Paramus Fire Department. In 2007, they joined the Paramus Police Department as the Director of Public Safety Communications. With expertise in both fire and police departments, Eric has a comprehensive understanding of emergency management and communication strategies.
Eric R. Picone, MPA, AEM has a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Arkansas State University, which was completed in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Public Safety Administration from Charter Oak State College. Eric attended Paramus High School from 2002 to 2006. In terms of additional certifications, Eric has obtained the CALEA Public Safety Telecommunicator Accreditation Manager certification from APCO International in March 2014. Eric is also an Associate Emergency Manager certified by the International Association of Emergency Managers. Additionally, they have certifications in Basic Telecommunications Officer and Emergency Medical Dispatch from APCO. Eric has also completed certifications in Firefighter I from the State of New Jersey, HSEEP from FEMA, HazMat Operations from the State of New Jersey, Incident Management Level 3 from the State of New Jersey, and NJ Certified Emergency Manager from the New Jersey Emergency Management Association.
