Alison Gee

Vice President of Government & Community Engagement at Parents as Teachers National Center

Alison Gee has extensive work experience in the field of public policy and advocacy. Alison served as the Vice President of Government & Community Engagement at Parents as Teachers from 2015 onwards. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Public Policy & Advocacy at the same organization from 2013 to 2015. From 1999 to 2013, Alison was the Vice President of Public Policy at Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri. Alison also held the role of Chair at the Sixth Ward Democratic Organization from 2008 to 2012. Alison was a member partner at America Votes from 2004 to 2010. Furthermore, they worked as a Sr. Strategic Planning & Marketing Consultant at Healthline Management Inc from 1996 to 1999 and as the Chief Operating Officer at the Health Policy Institute from 1990 to 1996. Alison's early work experience includes being the Executive Director of Voters For Choice from 1988 to 1989 and the PAC Manager at NARAL Pro-Choice America from 1985 to 1987.

Alison Gee has a diverse education history. Alison began their academic journey at Mayfield Comprehensive School from 1964 to 1969, where they obtained 10 O Levels and 4 A Levels in the fields of Languages and Liberal Arts. Alison then pursued higher education at the University of East Anglia from 1972 to 1976, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in European Literature, Intellectual History, and French.

Continuing their educational pursuits, Alison attended Saint Louis University from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree specializing in Public Health.

In addition to their formal education, Alison has also attained a certification in Performance Management: Setting Goals and Managing Performance from LinkedIn in December 2021.
