Kurt Brorson

Kurt Brorson, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and immunology. Kurt started their career as a Post-doctoral Fellow at Niaid, where they conducted basic research in immunology with a focus on cytokine gene regulation during T cell responses. In 1992, they joined the FDA as a Staff Scientist & Senior Investigator in the Division of Monoclonal Antibodies. During this time, they designed research protocols, conducted analytical research, and identified best practices to improve productivity and quality of work. Kurt also trained lab staff and interpreted extensive data. In 2014, Kurt Brorson was promoted to the position of Lab Chief in the Office of Biotechnology Products at the FDA. In this role, they oversaw a program performing research on bioprocessing, managed a cross-functional team, and had responsibilities for lab operations, compliance, and program/process improvement. In 2018, they joined PAREXEL as the Vice President of Technical.

Kurt Brorson, Ph.D. obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Chicago, and later went on to earn a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Caltech. In addition to their academic achievements, they have obtained several certifications in areas such as customer retention, managing customer expectations, consulting foundations, customer service, design thinking, strategic thinking, building trust, and executive leadership.
