Maria Zelner

Maria Zelner has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Maria is currently working at Parfin as a Compliance Associate since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Wiz Soluções as a Senior Compliance Analyst from September 2020 to January 2023. Before Wiz Soluções, Maria was a Compliance Officer at MZelner Consultoria em Compliance from October 2018 to August 2020.

Furthermore, Maria has extensive experience in the financial industry. Maria worked at J.P. Morgan Asset Management as an AML/KYC Onboarding Specialist from September 2015 to September 2017. In addition, they have legal experience, having worked at The Supreme Court of Brazil. Maria served as a Judicial Law Clerk from September 2008 to January 2013, as a Law Clerk from October 2004 to September 2008, and as a Legal Intern from February 2004 to October 2004.

Maria Zelner has a Bachelor of Laws (J.D. equivalent) degree from UniCEUB - Centro Universitário de Brasília, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. In 2014 to 2015, they pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in International Business and Trade Law at Fordham University School of Law, graduating with Magna Cum Laude distinction. During their time at Fordham University, Maria also completed the Corporate Social Responsibility Leadership Course in June 2015 and the Curso de Verano en Cumplimiento Normativo in July 2015.

To further enhance their knowledge and skills, Maria has completed various relevant courses and certifications. Maria attended the Compliance Course at INESEM Business School in 2018 and obtained Certificação Internacional em Compliance Avançado from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) in the same year. Maria also completed the Curso de Compliance Tributário at ESENI in 2018.

In addition to their educational achievements, Maria holds certifications from the Brazilian Bar Association as an Admitted Attorney in Brazil. Maria is also an Integrante of the Compliance Women Committee.
