Anke Menkhorst

Anke Menkhorst has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Anke is currently working as the Senior Vice President Group Marketing at Douglas since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as the CEO and Chief Operational Officer at ESL Education from June 2017 to January 2022 and November 2015 to May 2017, respectively.

Before joining ESL Education, Anke held several positions at Kao Corporation, including Managing Director and President of Kao UK from January 2012 to October 2015, UK General Manager from April 2011 to October 2015, Spain General Manager from March 2007 to March 2011, UK Marketing & Category Director from April 2005 to February 2007, and Benelux Marketing Director from January 2000 to April 2005.

Anke also gained experience as a Category Marketing Manager at Royal Friesland Foods from February 1996 to January 2000, and as an Export Manager at Quaker Oats - PepsiCo from September 1994 to January 1996.

Anke Menkhorst has a BBA degree in Business Economics from Nyenrode Business University, which they earned from 1988 to 1991. From 1991 to 1994, they pursued an MSC degree in Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). In 2010 to 2011, Anke completed an Executive Program in Strategic Leadership at CCL Center for Creative Leadership - Greensboro USA. Lastly, in 2013 to 2014, they attended IMD for an Executive Leadership Training Program with a focus on Organizational Leadership.
