Ruwan Ranganath Senarathne

Ruwan Ranganath Senarathne has a strong background in DevOps engineering. Ruwan is currently working as a DevOps Engineer at Parloa, starting in February 2023. Prior to this, they held roles at Fortude, where they were a Senior Lead and Technical Lead for DevOps from October 2021 to March 2023.

Before joining Fortude, Ruwan worked at Sysco LABS Sri Lanka as an Associate Technical Lead for DevOps from November 2020 to October 2021, where they served as the team lead for the Sri Lanka DevOps team.

Prior to that, they worked at Apigate (formerly known as WSO2.Telco) as a Senior Software Engineer for DevOps from October 2018 to September 2020, where they led the Cloud Infrastructure and automation team.

Ruwan also gained experience at WSO2.Telco, where they held various roles including Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, and Associate Engineer for DevOps from July 2016 to September 2020.

Their work experience began with a Pre-Internship at 99X Technology as part of the NSBM Summer Challenge in 2014. Overall, Ruwan has built a comprehensive skill set in DevOps engineering through their progressive roles and diverse experiences in different companies.

Ruwan Ranganath Senarathne has a diverse education history with a focus on computer and information security. Ruwan obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer and Information Security from the University of Plymouth, starting in 2013 and completing in 2016. In 2018 to 2019, they pursued an M.Sc in Computer Science with a specialization in Security Engineering at the University of Moratuwa. Before that, from 2013 to 2016, they attended the National School of Business Management, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) (Hons) degree in Information Security & Forensic.

Prior to their university education, Ruwan completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Software Engineering from the Institute of Java Technology Studies - Sri Lanka, spanning from 2011 to 2013. Their educational journey began at Dharmapala MV - Bandarawela, where they attended from 1995 to 2011. However, the degree name and field of study for this period are not specified.

In addition to their academic achievements, Ruwan holds several certifications in various domains. Ruwan obtained certifications such as "Kubernetes: Continuous Delivery with Spinnaker" from LinkedIn in September 2019, "Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)" from EC-Council in July 2018, "Certified Kubernetes Administrator" from The Linux Foundation in February 2020, and "AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2019.
