Susan Smith Pinto possesses extensive experience in environmental education, project management, and consultancy within the field of sustainability. Currently serving as the Environmental Education Coordinator at Parque Metropolitano de Santiago since January 2019 and as Academic Director of Theses at UNICEPES since September 2020, Susan also contributes as an academic tutor for the PhD program in Conservation Medicine with Fondo Verde Internacional. Independent consultancy work began in April 2016, focusing on environmental issues, biodiversity, and project formulation. Additional roles include co-authoring the Blog Sustentabilidad y Desarrollo and providing consultancy at Sustentable S.A. for road project sustainability. Prior experience includes leading project management at the Instituto Forestal Latinoamericano and engaging in innovative development projects at Fundacite Mérida. Susan holds a Doctorate in Tropical Ecology, a Master's in Tropical Ecology, and a degree in Forestry Engineering from Universidad de los Andes.
