Rodrigo Regis de Almeida Galvão has ten years of experience in business management and in innovation projects and processes, with an emphasis on the energy sector. Between 2014 and December 2019, he served as CEO of the International Center for Renewable Energy (Cibiogás), an institution he joined in 2012 as a business manager.
Between 2011 and 2012, Regis worked at the Itaipu Technological Park Foundation as a Research, Development & Innovation advisor between 2011 and 2012. The director also played an important role in class entities related to the popularization and development of renewable energy sources. During this period he was an advisor to the Brazilian Association of Biogas and Biomethane, an advisor member of Task Force 37 – International Energy Agency and a director member of the Global Environment Facility Committee.
An electrical engineer by training, Rodrigo has a master's degree in Systems Engineering (both degrees from the University of Pernambuco), a specialization in Business Innovation Management (from the Univeristat Politècnica de València) and a PhD in Regional Development and Agribusiness from the State University of West Paraná ( Uniwest).
