Carla Holtze has been in the professional world for over 17 years. Carla began their career in 2002 as an Associate at Lehman Brothers. In 2009, they took on roles as a Freelance Consultant at the Economist Intelligence Unit and a Consultant at Goji Gourmet. Later that year, they co-founded and became the CEO of Have to Have, a native commerce platform that recommends personalized and contextually relevant products. In 2014, they co-founded Parrable and served as its CEO. In 2019, they began working as a Mentor at Commonwealth Ventures.

Carla Holtze attended Northwestern University from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a BS in Economics & Communications Studies. Carla then attended Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism from 2007 to 2008, where they earned an MS. Finally, they attended Columbia Business School from 2008 to 2010, where they earned an MBA.
