Carolyn Frieband is the Director of Operations at Parsyl, an IoT supply chain data platform that delivers pioneering cargo insurance solutions for shippers of perishable goods. Carolyn has over 7 years of experience in leadership positions in education, where they have excelled in developing strategic plans, managing teams, and designing effective assessment systems.
Previously, Carolyn was the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at DSST Public Schools, where they led the creation of the school's curriculum and oversaw the implementation of instruction and assessment. Carolyn also served as the Senior Manager of Assessment, overseeing a team of assessment creators and curriculum experts to provide high quality assessments that drive student achievement. Under their leadership, DSST created highly effective assessment systems that support a growing network of schools.
Before their time at DSST, Carolyn was the Manager of Data and Assessment at a charter school in Denver. In this role, Carolyn was responsible for analyzing data to understand and predict student performance, as well as designing data visualizations for school leaders and teachers to use in order to analyze academic and cultural data.
Carolyn holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
