Daniel Kouba has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. Daniel began their career as an Engineering Intern at Broadcom, where they tested and troubleshot customer hardware, performed semiconductor characterization, developed automated testing methodologies and scripts, and wrote a custom application in C#. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Student and Undergraduate Research Assistant at UC Santa Barbara, where they developed a platform for prototyping high-speed low-power control systems built using a novel filter framework based on Sigma-Delta modulation. Daniel then worked as a Hardware Design Engineer at Kollmorgen from 2012 to 2015, where they co-engineered motion control solutions, managed the multi-layer PCB design process, and implemented version control on all existing and new code. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as an Imaging Engineer at Santa Barbara Imaging Systems, Inc., where they were the firmware lead for their portfolio of next-generation endoscopic camera systems. Lastly, they worked at Apeel Sciences from 2017 to 2019 as an Electrical Engineer and Systems Integration Engineer. In their current role, they are the Global Solution Lead: Light Electric Vehicles at Particle.

Daniel Kouba obtained their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara between 2008 and 2012. Prior to that, they attended Laguna Hills High School between 2004 and 2008.
