Markese Long has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current role as the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Career Pathways at Partner4Work Pittsburgh since 2017. Markese previously served as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Community Engagement at the same organization. Prior to that, Markese was a Community Relations Manager and a Community Engagement Specialist at Partner4Work Pittsburgh. Before joining Partner4Work, they were a Program Director at Youthplaces and a Project Coordinator and Program Assistant at Partner4Work Pittsburgh. Markese also worked as a Program Manager at A+ Schools and held various roles at Allegheny County Department of Human Services, Three Rivers Youth, ASC, Saint Augustine's College, and Epoxy Floor Company.
Markese Long earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Performance and Wellness from Saint Augustine's University between 2005 and 2009. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership at Point Park University from 2009 to 2011. Recently, Long obtained a certification in Nonprofit Scenario Planning for COVID 19 & Beyond 2020 from The Forbes Funds in September 2021.
