Robert Barone

A trusted and respected industry veteran, Robert W. Barone, R.A., LEED AP is a Director based out of Partner's White Plains, NY office. With almost 40 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, Barone has managed and provided consulting on billions of dollars in real estate transactions and development projects.

Prior to Partner, Barone headed the construction risk management practice of a respected national consulting firm where his team managed more than 400 active construction projects per month. Barone has personally facilitated thousands of thousands of real estate transactions and development projects for a variety of property types throughout North America and Europe. Clients have included foreign governments, major lending institutions, and equity investors.

Barone's expertise includes consulting on a wide range of projects in the commercial and residential areas, with a strong concentration in complex mixed-use projects. He has monitored a large number of construction projects, including: City Center, a $8.5 Billion 18,000,000 SFG resort and casino complex in Las Vegas; Wynn Las Vegas, a $2.5 Billion, 5,200,000 SFG resort and casino in Las Vegas; Trump International Hotel & Tower, a $600 Million 96-story mixed use building in Chicago; The Cosmopolitan, a $2.5 Billion, ±6,000,000 SFG resort and casino in Las Vegas; Time Warner Center, an $860 Million, 2,800,000 SFG mixed-use building in Manhattan; Xanadu, a $1.2 Billion, 5,900,000 SFG enclosed mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey; and Atlantis – Phase III, a $730 Million expansion of the Nassau, Bahamas resort.

A pioneer in the establishment of sound due diligence and construction risk management practices, Barone served as co-chairman of ASTM’s E50’s committee on the “Standard Guide for Property Condition Assessments" and co-chaired the development of the "Standard Guide for Readily Observable Mold and Conditions Conducive to Mold in Commercial Buildings: Baseline Survey Process." An esteemed thought leader, Barone has been published in numerous real estate and publications and a guest speaker at organizations such as the NY Private Equity Network and National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM).
