Eliza is a Program Associate for Fairness, Transparency, and Accountability.

She is committed to developing research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, racial and economic equity, and policy that powers community change.

Eliza previously worked with PolicyLink where she led a series of landmark studies assessing the impact of California’s Proposition 22 on rideshare and food delivery workers. She also developed a framework for advancing racial equity through technology policy. Her work has been cited in multiple state supreme court cases as well as by the US Commission on Civil Rights. Publications including WIRED, Bloomberg, MarketWatch, and FastCompany have covered her work.

Eliza also has experience studying gender and LGBTQ rights in development contexts and has published multiple reports assessing the impact of international development projects on gender minorities.

She holds a B.A. in Critical Development Studies and Gender Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. She currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
