Derek Gillard

Derek Gillard has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Derek started their career at Pappas Restaurants, Inc. in 1989 as a Manager and stayed until 1997. Derek then worked as a Purchasing Agent at Computize, Inc. from 1997 to 2002. From 2003 to 2007, they worked as Inside Sales at Computize Inc. Derek then joined the Harris County Department of Education and served as a Contract Coordinator from 2007 to 2009, followed by a role of Purchasing Manager from 2009 to 2012. Derek then worked at Choice Partners as a Contract Manager from 2012 to 2013, Assistant Director from 2013 to 2013, and Director from 2013 to 2015. Derek later joined Pasadena Independent School District as the Director of Purchasing from 2015 to 2021 and is currently serving as the Executive Director of Finance since 2021. Additionally, Derek is also a member of the Board of Directors at the Texas Association of School Business Officials since 2020.

Derek Gillard obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Radio, TV, and Film from the University of North Texas between the years 1991 and 1995. Derek also holds a certification in RTSBA from TASBO, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
