Richard Jorgensen

Richard Jorgensen has over 20 years of experience in the software engineering field. Richard began their career in 1999 as a Senior Software Engineer at Novell, Inc., where they were a key member of the Novell Cluster Services Team and was responsible for split brain detection and the email notification daemon. In 2007, they moved to Seven Studios as a Senior Engineer. In 2009, they joined Fusion-IO as a Senior Staff Engineer. In 2016, they became a Principal Software Engineer at Secturion, where they drove the creation of software processes, implementing Test-Driven Development (TDD), code reviews, and coding standards. Richard also created the management software, including a Go (GoLang) web server with a vue.js based front end. In 2019, they joined Walmart Labs as a Senior Manager II - Edge Foundation. Richard is currently the VP, Cloud Software at PassiveLogic.

Richard Jorgensen holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Weber State University.
