Christina Klingenberg

Christina Klingenberg is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the intellectual property sector, currently serving as the Director of Patents at Patent- og Varemærkestyrelsen since May 2001. In this role, Christina manages a department of approximately 70 employees, overseeing production planning, budget management, international cooperation, and strategic decision-making, as well as the hiring of patent examiners. Previously, Christina held positions as the Head of the Chemistry Department and Patent Examiner, where responsibilities included conducting prior art searches and evaluating the patentability of inventions. Prior to this, Christina worked as a Temporary Teacher at Viborg Amtsgymnasium, teaching chemistry and mathematics. Christina holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry/Mathematics from Aarhus Universitet and completed high school at Ribe katedralskole.
