Alexander Koenig is an experienced Hardware Engineer who has worked in various roles since 2013. In 2020, they joined Path Robotics as a Hardware Engineer and Battelle as a CCDS Decontamination Tech - Shift Lead, Site Equipment Maintenance Lead. Alexander'srole at Battelle involved training and supervising 24-hour decontamination processes with a focus on safety, adherence to SOPs, and site-specific best practices. From 2018-2020, they worked as a Property Manager for Garry Properties. From 2016-2018, they co-founded a small business consultancy called Koenig Partners LLC and used their experience in engineering and business development to identify market opportunities for fellow entrepreneurs and expanding companies. From 2013-2016, they were a Graduate Student Researcher and Student Researcher at the Glenn Daehn Impulse Manufacturing Laboratory. During this time, they collaborated with graduate and postdoctoral researchers on expanding the vaporizing foil actuator (VFA) technology and designed a vaporized foil actuated pedestal welder in SolidWorks. Alexander also devised a process for agile compaction of TI-powder capable of producing 98% dense green compacts, high-porosity sintered cylinders, and high-detail shaped extrusions.
Alexander Koenig received their Master of Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Material Science and Engineering with a minor in Entrepreneurship from The Ohio State University in 2017.
