Sarah Obel has a comprehensive background in Human Resources and Administration, starting as a Learning and Development Coordinator at Barclays Bank Tanzania in 2007. Sarah then took on roles such as Senior Training Officer at TANESCO, Training Staff and Development Manager at FINCA- TANZANIA, and Human Resources Manager at FINCA Tanzania. Sarah later became the Country Human Resources Manager at SNV Netherlands Development Organisation, focusing on talent management, HR strategy alignment, and employee engagement. Most recently, they served as Country Operations Manager at SNV before transitioning to their current position as Human Resources and Administration Director at Pathfinder International in 2021.
Sarah Obel holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from UDSM, obtained from 2002 to 2006. Sarah then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration at The Institute of Finance Management (IFM) from 2012 to 2014. Sarah furthered their education by earning a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from IFM between 2018 and 2021.
