Alervo Corena

Alvaro Corena has extensive work experience in the technology and renewable energy sectors. Their most recent role was as the Vice President of Information Technology - CIO at Pattern Energy Group starting in 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at GE Renewable Energy from 2014 to 2022, including CIO - OnShore Wind, VP - ERP Strategy, Delivery & Operations, CIO - OnShore Wind Europe, and Sr. Director - Oracle ERP Strategic Leader. At GE, they were responsible for driving ERP consolidation, process standardization, and system simplification for the renewable business, managing large budgets and leading global teams. Additionally, in 2020, they served as the GE-Wide Hispanic Affinity Employee Group (ERG) Executive Co-Leader, where they focused on fostering an inclusive environment and increasing Hispanic and Latinx talent recruitment and development. Before GE, they worked at GE Power & Water as Director of Digital Technologies and Sr. Program Manager, and at Oracle Corporation in various roles, including Sr. Manager, Business System Analyst/Development Manager, Technical Support Team Leader, and Consultant.

Alvaro Corena holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. Alvaro also completed a Management Certificate Program at the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. Additionally, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Devry University.
