Derek Zhang

Derek Zhang is a dedicated computer science student at the University of Waterloo, expected to graduate in 2025. With a solid foundation in software development, Derek has gained diverse experience through multiple internships, including a Software Development Intern role at Amazon Web Services focusing on the Aurora Limitless Database, as well as Software Engineering Intern positions at Chatsimple and PointClickCare. Additional experience includes internships at Borderless, Immigrate.ai, and FarmLink Marketing Solutions, along with a role as a Jr Software Developer. Prior to this, Derek worked as a Swim Instructor/Lifeguard for the City of Toronto. Educational background includes graduation from William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute in 2020.
