Jacob Blacksberg has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2009, they worked as a Data Entry Assistant at Riverside Cemetery, followed by a role as a Sound Engineering Assistant at Timely Tech LLC in 2010. From 2011 to 2011, they served as a Mechanics Assistant at Riverside Cemetery. Jacob then worked as a Certified Belayer at New Jersey Rock Gym from 2010 to 2014. In 2014, Jacob participated in a Precision Engineering Externship at the University of Rochester, where they gained experience in Motion Control Systems and Interferometer Calibration. Jacob also interned as a CAD/CAM Intern at Lasercam Express, where they focused on CAD design and operating CNC machines. In 2016, Jacob joined CANVAS Technology as a Mechanical Engineer, and in 2019, they transitioned to Amazon as a Technical Program Manager. Currently, Jacob is the Co-Founder and Hardware Lead at Pattern Labs, a role they have held since July 2021.
Jacob Blacksberg completed their high school education at Wayne Valley High School from 2008 to 2012. Jacob then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Rochester from 2012 to 2016. In 2015, Jacob participated in a study abroad program at the University of Canterbury, where they engaged in Mechanical Engineering coursework with an emphasis on interacting with international students.
