Elya Khaimchayeva has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Elya began their career as a Summer Intern in the Department of Office Operations at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in June 2011. Elya then transitioned to become a Firm Events Coordinator in the same department, where they worked until June 2013. During their time at the law firm, they also held positions as a Business Development Assistant, Business Development Coordinator, and Business Development Specialist.
In 2013, Elya joined Person Place Thing, hosted by Randy Cohen, where they served as a member of the Advisory Council from September 2013 to September 2014. Following their time at Person Place Thing, they returned to Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and took on the role of Business Development Manager from July 2016 to December 2018. Elya then progressed to the position of Senior Business Development Manager from January 2019 to July 2022.
Most recently, starting in July 2022, Elya became the Business Development Director at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, where they currently hold the position. Prior to their career at the law firm, they worked as a Legal Intern at Kopelevich & Feldsherova, P.C. from June 2010 to February 2011.
Elya Khaimchayeva completed a Business Certification Program at Columbia University from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts/Special Honors degree in Political Science and Russian Literature and Culture from Macaulay Honors College from 2009 to 2013. Elya Khaimchayeva attended Brooklyn Technical High School from 2005 to 2009, focusing on Social Science Research.
