Johanna Umpierre

Johanna Umpierre is an experienced educator with a focus on K-4 science instruction, currently serving as a K-4 Science Teacher at PAVE Academy Charter School since August 2021. Prior to this role, Johanna spent a decade at Success Academy Charter Schools, where responsibilities included planning inquiry-based science lessons, mentoring fellow teachers, and achieving exemplary student performance on statewide assessments. Johanna's earlier positions include Lead Preschool Teacher at Elite Preparatory Academy and an AmeriCorps Member at New Jersey Community Development Corporation, where efforts were directed towards fostering student learning and community engagement. With a Master's degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from Michigan State University and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Johanna is committed to educational excellence and the holistic development of students.
