Marsha Gadsden

Marsha Gadsden has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Marsha is currently the Executive Director at PAVE Academy Charter School, starting in May 2021. Marsha is also a member of Chief, a private network focused on empowering senior women leaders.

Prior to their current roles, Marsha worked at Ascend Public Charter Schools. Marsha served as the Managing Director from July 2018 to May 2021, overseeing various aspects of the school's operations. Before that, they held positions such as School Director, Resident Director, and Director of Student Life from July 2011 to June 2018.

Marsha's career in education began as an English Teacher at Achievement First, where they worked from July 2009 to June 2011.

Marsha Gadsden attended Harvard University from 2007 to 2009, where they earned a Master's in Public Policy (MPP) with a focus on Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management & Education Policy. Continuing their education, they enrolled in the Relay Graduate School of Education from 2009 to 2011, completing a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching. Prior to their graduate studies, Marsha Gadsden obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, General from Georgetown University, which they attended from 2003 to 2007.
