Mahsa Vazin, PhD, is the Founder and CEO of PawCo Foods, a position held since July 2021. Prior to this, Mahsa served as a Scientist at 10x Genomics from March 2021 to August 2021 and held multiple roles at Impossible Foods between February 2017 and March 2021, including R&D technical lead for ingredient discovery and Senior Research Associate in small molecule discovery. Academic experience includes serving as a Graduate Research/Teaching Assistant and Researcher at the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology at the University of Waterloo from September 2013 to August 2016, as well as a similar role at the University of Guelph from January 2011 to July 2013. Mahsa holds a Ph.D. in Chem–Nanoscience from the University of Waterloo and a Master’s Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Guelph.
