Steve Erickson has a diverse and extensive work experience history. Steve began their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Associate from 1993 to 1995. Steve then moved to Goldman Sachs where they served as a Senior Accounting Officer from 1995 to 1997. After that, they joined Bear Stearns as Vice President of Investment Banking from 1999 to 2003. Next, Erickson served as the Chief Financial Officer at EVO Payments International from 2003 to 2006.
In 2007, Erickson became the CEO/President of EnablePay Direct, Inc. where they worked until 2012. During their time there, they implemented strategies and oversaw the overall operations of the company. Following that, they joined Midland States Bank in 2012 as the President of Merchant Services, where they successfully integrated merchant services sales into the retail banking infrastructure. Steve later became the Director of Mergers & Acquisitions from 2016 to 2018 and eventually the Chief Financial Officer from 2018 to 2019, responsible for various financial aspects of the bank.
After working at Midland States Bank, Erickson joined Independent Bank as the Chief Financial Officer, where they provided strategic guidance and oversaw various departments including Accounting, Treasury, Finance, and Legal. Steve managed Investor Relations and the bank's M&A process. Steve then moved to CFSB - Community Federal Savings Bank in 2020, continuing their role as the Chief Financial Officer until 2022.
Currently, Erickson is serving as the Chief Financial Officer at PAYARC since August 2022, where they hold a key leadership position overseeing financial operations. Steve Erickson has an extensive education history. Steve completed their Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1987 to 1992. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Accountancy at the same university from 1992 to 1993. Later, Steve attended the NYU Stern School of Business, where they earned their MBA in Finance from 1997 to 1999.
