Mark Lau

Mark Lau has a long and varied career in law and business. Mark began their career in 2005 as an Associate at PwC. In 2008, they moved to Borden Ladner Gervais LLP as a Corporate Lawyer, where they were involved in the issuance of over $100 billion in the aggregate of Canada Mortgage Bonds. In 2014, they joined TeraGo as Vice President Legal, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, where they were responsible for managing the Legal Department and all legal affairs. Mark also acted as TeraGo's Ethics Officer and Privacy Officer. In 2021, they joined Payfare Inc. as Chief Legal Officer and Vice President Legal, Risk & Governance. Mark is currently responsible for leading and managing the Legal Department and advising on securities and corporate law matters, mergers and acquisitions, public company obligations, employment, litigation and regulatory matters.

Mark Lau attended the University of Toronto from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a B. Com with a Specialist in Accounting and a Major in Economics. Mark then attended the University of Ottawa from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a LL.B. in Law.
