Matt Menzenski began their career in 2013 as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at The University of Kansas. In 2014, they became a Graduate Research Assistant, where they developed software tools and workflows, reorganized a project website, produced a Python package, and wrote Python and XSLT scripts. In 2015, they worked as a Computational Linguist for the Endangered Language Fund, where they developed tools for an Automated Speech Recognition project, wrote a Python program to spell out numbers in Uyghur, and marked up 75 Uyghur/Russian texts. In 2016, they joined PayIt as a Software Engineering Apprentice, and subsequently held the roles of Software Engineer Team Lead, Software Engineer, Software Engineering Manager, and Senior Software Engineering Manager.
Matt Menzenski obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Linguistics and Russian from The University of New Mexico in 2013. Matt then went on to earn a Master of Arts (MA) in Slavic Languages & Literatures from The University of Kansas in 2016. In 2020, they obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner\u00ae (CSPO\u00ae) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
