Nicolette Van Rooyen has a wealth of work experience. Nicolette began their career in 2008 as an Events Manager at Le Franschhoek Hotel and Spa, where they were responsible for organizing conferences, weddings, engagement parties, birthdays, gala dinners and launches. Nicolette then moved to The Bay Hotel in 2007, where they were an Event Coordinator. In 2010, Nicolette joined BTI Branding Solutions as an Account Manager, and then moved to Amrod Corporate in 2012, also as an Account Manager. In 2013, they joined Creative Brands | Brand Today as an Account Manager, where they were responsible for sales, including new business development, marketing, training of new sales staff, managing projects and project teams, customer estimations and quotes, and more. In 2016, Nicolette joined Full Facing (Pty) Ltd as a Scrum Product Owner. Nicolette then moved to GTco in 2019, where they held the roles of Program Manager and Business Development Manager, before being promoted to Key Account Manager. In 2022, they joined Paymenow Group as an Operations Manager and Technical Product Manager.

Nicolette Van Rooyen has a diverse educational background. In 2004-2005, they obtained a Higher National Diploma in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from eta. In 2010-2012, they earned a National Diploma in Make Up & Hair Styling from Anneline Black Studio. In 2019, they acquired two certifications from LinkedIn: Learning OneNote Online (Office 365) and SharePoint 2019 Essential Training: The Basics. In 2020, Nicolette obtained a Certification in Certified Scrum Product Owner and a Certification in Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance. Additionally, they have also acquired two Certificates from Udemy, one in Agile Fundamentals - Scrum & Kanban and one in Agile Scrum Fundamentals.
