Samantha McMurtrie

Samantha McMurtrie has held a variety of roles in the business industry since 2002. Samantha began their career as the Business Owner of African Curiosities, where they ran an online sales and exporting business of African artifacts and crafts. Samantha then moved on to become the PR and Marketing Manager at Platinum Group - Jenni Button in 2005, and the Buyer at TFG (The Foschini Group) in 2006. In 2008, they became the Facilitator at RED Learning Solutions, where they facilitated workshops such as "Business Writing Skills" and "Self Development". In 2009, they were the Co-Founder of Pretty Powerful, where they were responsible for developing online coaching content and managing clients. In 2011, they became the Programme Manager at Regis Management, where they were responsible for setting up an online casino and a support services company. In 2012, they were the General Manager at BetFlash (Pty) Ltd, where they were responsible for business set up, brand development, and software and hardware deployments. In 2014, they joined ViaMedia (Pty) Ltd, where they held the roles of Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Executive Head, and General Manager. In 2020, they joined Paymenow Group as a Business Development Specialist.

Samantha McMurtrie attended Camps Bay High School from 1996 to 1997, where they obtained their Matric. Samantha then attended UCT from 1999 to 2001, where they received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Film & Media Studies.
