Nikolas Martinez began their career in 2008 as a Busser at Black Angus Restaurant. In 2012, they joined Payment Logistics as a Risk/Underwriting Analyst, where they were responsible for underwriting merchant applications to determine credit worthiness, gathering information and acquiring documentation as necessary, and performing complex account reviews for existing merchants. Nikolas then moved up to Senior Risk Analyst, where they actively monitored merchant activity in real time and used various tools, reports, models, and knowledge to assess and eliminate fraud. In this role, they were able to eliminate over $40,000 of credit card fraud on a single account. Finally, they were promoted to Director of Risk & Underwriting and Risk Management Supervisor, where they were responsible for risk monitoring, ensuring merchant compliance, and communicating with clients to address various needs or concerns.
Nikolas Martinez attended Santana High School before going on to Grossmont College, where they earned an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management, General in 2010. Nikolas then attended San Diego State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Finance, General in 2012.
